This update to my classic decking clamp kit was updated based on the feedback from the community. You told me what you like, what you didn't, and what you wanted. After going back to the drawing board with all of the criticisms, this is what I came up with.
Point 1 - WHY THE SCREWS?!
The screws have been a primary focal point since launch. Having to assemble the tool while fumbling the parts in place with a drill wasn't impossible but it wasn't fun. Our original tool was produced in a material that alone, couldn't withstand the forces applied during operation without critical failures.
Since our launch in 2023, new materials have become available. They have allowed us to update the tools geometry and manufacture it in a new material that is rated for the operational forces.
The result? A tool that installs in a fraction of the time without the need for any additional tools!
Point 2 - WHY SO MANY HARD EDGES?!
Let's get real for a minute... That original decking clamp adapter worked GREAT! But... It wasn't pretty to look at...
The original decking clamp adapter was a public release of the verison I designed for my personal use. It was designed at the time to be functional. It was designed to be durable. Both goals were met. But it wasn't pretty...
For this version I updated the shape of the tool to be much softer on the environment. Most features were rounded on the plastic tool to reduce and remove impact points. I removed my branding on the decking clamp adapters to further emphasis the personalized brandings for our clients who opt for custom engravings on their tools. The stainless steel tabs were also updated with rounded corners, tumbled edges, and a #4 brushed for a consistent finish on ALL tools.

Point 3 - Maintenance & Sustainability
Being a career builder, waste is always on my mind. Our industry produces so much waste for various reasons but I want to do my part to help reduce that waste. All of our new parts are directly backwards compatible with our original parts. A new adapter can receive an original tab. A new stainless steel tab can be bolted into our original decking clamp adapter.

FAQ
We have decided to produce all of our decking clamp adpaters in ASA-CF, or acrylonitrile styrene acrylate with carbon-fiber. While this is once of the more difficult mediums to work with, it has some incredible benefits. ASA-CF is an industrial grade filament for producing components with heat, water, and UV resistance.
The 806 clamp adapter kit includes all components to convert 1 Dewalt medium/heavy duty or Irwin medium/heavy duty clamp.
